According to reports , the artist was on-board her jet when smoke started to fill the cockpit, forcing the crew to make an emergency landing at Van Nuys Airport near Los Angeles. The jet was able to land without incident and video captured by KABC appears to show Karol G exiting the aircraft unharmed.

“A twin-engine Gulfstream IV landed safely at Van Nuys Airport in California around 9 p.m. local time on Thursday, Feb. 29 after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit,” the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement surrounding the incident. “The flight departed from Hollywood Burbank Airport and was headed to El Salvador International Airport.” No further information from Karol or her team has been shared.

The Colombian singer is currently on her Mañana Será Bonito tour with shows in Guatemala this weekend.
