For the Win Sets Up Shop in the Beverly Center

For the Win , a pandemic-era smash burger joint that’s skyrocketed in popularity, is coming to the Beverly Center . Chef and owner Santos Uy confirmed that the new location should be open by mid-July.

“For the Win was created during the onset of the Covid Lockdowns in March of 2020 at what once was Papilles Bistro, a Michelin Bib Gourmand French restaurant. I’ve always wanted to serve burgers and fried chicken sandwiches for lunch and we had to change our concept to survive, so what better time to implement the new menu? Welcome to For the Win, where we pride ourselves in quality and craftsmanship for America’s favorite sandwich,” their website says.

Since opening its doors, the burger joint has become a local favorite, even winning Yelp’s 2023 Best Cheeseburger in California. The restaurant’s straight-forward menu includes a hamburger, cheeseburger, patty melt, grilled cheese, fried chicken sandwich, sweet potato and regular fries, Brussel sprouts, and desserts.

For the Win recently opened its Van Nuys location and also has stores in Hollywood, Glendale, Whittier, and Grand Central Market.
