The Magic Mike actor filed for divorce on July 19, 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. Their divorce was finalized in April the following year.

The couple were first photographed leaving a dinner date together on October 20, 2023 in Beverly Hills. Soon after, it was reported that Vergara was “falling in love” and “moving fast” with Saliman.

The actress went Instagram official with Saliman and professed her love for him in an April post on her Instagram Story, writing: “If you ever get a major knee surgery make sure u get a handsome doctor who will sleep with u that night!!!!”

“Luv u dr @jdsaliman,” she added. The photo showed Vergara’s bandaged knee and a smiling Saliman in his scrubs.

Saliman also appeared on Vergara’s Instagram in a series of photos that showed the couple spending time with her family on Mother’s Day in May.

Vergara also gave Saliman a very subtle shoutout during a May appearance on The Talk when conversation turned to the small “J” tattoo she got on her wrist during her most recent marriage. “This was Joe Manganiello’s initial, but now he’s gone so…” Vergara said.

“How lucky can I be that the guy that I’m going out [with] has the same initial,” she remarked, referencing Saliman, adding that she plans to “recycle” the tattoo for her new beau.
