The tour originally was scheduled to run from a September 12th show in San Jose, California, through a November 10th gig in Los Angeles. Now, an entire new leg has been added, running from November 18th in Thousand Oaks, California, through December 18th in Highland, California. Newly added cities include Seattle, Brooklyn, St. Louis, and San Antonio, among others.
An artist pre-sale for the new dates starts today (June 25th) at noon ET / 9 a.m. PT using the code BEATTOUR via Ticketmaster . Fans can also look for deals or get tickets to sold-out dates via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.
The tour will see guitar virtuoso Vai and Tool drummer Carey playing alongside classic King Crimson members Belew and Levin as they reinterpret three of the band’s ’80s albums: Discipline , Beat , and Three of a Perfect Pair. The outing has received a full blessing from founding King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp.
Many of the first leg’s shows have already sold out, with promoter Angelo “Scrote” Bundini stating, “Due to overwhelming demand, Adrian, Steve, Tony and Danny have decided to extend the BEAT tour with an additional 21 shows in order to perform these incredible King Crimson albums for even more fans. We are adding many additional cities alongside second and even third appearances in various regions. Sixty-five dates in total! The audience has spoken loudly so BEAT is responding in kind.”
