Former NCIS star M ark Harmon looked unrecognizable as he made a rare public appearance out and about in Los Angeles ahead of his role in the upcoming Freaky Friday sequel .
The 72-year-old Hollywood star, who is known and loved for his lead role as Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the hit drama NCIS, looked worlds different from his days on the crime series as ran errands in California. This week the beloved actor was seen spending the sunny summer day going for a solo run to the Erewhon Market .
For the outing, Mark kept it casual stepping out in a red short-sleeved button down collared shirt and a pair of baggy navy blue shorts. Mark paired the look with flip flops and was seen squinting through the hot summer rays with his grey hair disheveled as was seen carrying a handful of grocery bags.

Mark's public appearance comes as Disney just revealed that he will be starring in the long-awaited Freaky Friday sequel. While the official release date hasn't been announced yet, it has been confirmed that in 2025 Mark, along with stars Jamie Lee Curis, Lindsay Lohan, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao, will all be reprising their original roles for the comedy.
In the original film, Mark starred as the supporting role of Ryan Volvo who was Tess' good-hearted fiancé and later husband. In the 2003 film, Anna was not ready for Tess to get married to Ryan after her first husband died three years earlier. And at the wedding rehearsal dinner, Tess (who was in Anna's body) told Anna (in Tess' body) to ask Ryan if he can postpone the wedding because Tess didn't want Anna to get married in her own body. But later during a toast Anna (in Tess' body) has a change of heart and accepts Ryan for who is is and realizes that moving on is what would be best for Tess.
As for the plot of upcoming movie, Disney's synopsis read: "Freaky Friday 2 picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice."
