Officially on the market for $15 million is the iconic Wolf's Lair, overlooking the Hollywood Reservoir. Nestled on nearly four acres of meticulously landscaped grounds at 2869 Durand Drive, this walled and gated estate is a replica of a Norman castle, offering serene views of the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Park Observatory.

Built in 1927 for Milton Wolf, this eight-bedroom compound seamlessly blends rich history, architectural significance, and natural beauty into a singular living experience. From its inception, Wolf's Lair has been a magnet for Hollywood's elite.

Over the decades, luminaries such as Debbie Reynolds, Marlon Brando, and even The Beatles have reportedly occupied the residence, each leaving their mark on its storied legacy.

One of the defining features of Wolf's Lair is its guest house, redesigned in the 1960s by the renowned mid-century modernist architect John Lautner. Lautner's signature style — sweeping lines and integration with nature — transformed the space into a masterpiece. Later, musician and artist Moby infused his creative energy into the guest house, using it as a sanctuary for recording and artistic expression.

Wolf's Lair also offers a sanctuary for nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers. The estate has private, manicured hiking trails that wind through beautiful greenery, providing a tranquil escape amidst the city below. The poolside guest house, seemingly floating above the reservoir, offers a unique vantage point to soak in the serene beauty of the surroundings.

Despite its secluded location, Wolf's Lair offers convenient access to some of Los Angeles' most iconic cultural landmarks, vibrant nightlife, upscale shopping, and diverse culinary experiences.

The property is being represented by Billy Rose, co-founder of The Agency.
