The Los Angeles Clippers are in serious danger of losing one half of their All-Star forward tandem, Paul George.

George is heavily rumored to be on his way out of Los Angeles, and ESPN's Brian Windhorst cannot make sense of the Clippers' approach to the situation.

"What I find interesting about this is the stance that the Clippers are taking. This is a very important player to them. They are heavily invested in him, but they are not acting like they're desperate to keep him," Windhorst said on NBA Today. "We're so used to seeing these teams in danger of losing star-free agents pull out all the stops, and they're not offering him a max contract."

The NBA analyst went on to list the Philadelphia 76ers and Golden State Warriors in the category of potential destinations while mentioning a reunion with the Oklahoma City Thunder as a long shot. If George is able to force his way to either Philadelphia or Golden State, the respective organization is immediately boosted into title contention.
