Dwyane Wade's Simple Message To LeBron James, Bronny After Lakers Decision

On Thursday, Bronny James joined his father, LeBron James, as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers after being selected with the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Just a day after the draft, Bronny disclosed his new Lakers jersey number, opting to choose No. 9. On social media, his father unveiled Bronny sporting his new uniform, sparking a brief response from Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade.

"Legacy," Wade commented.

LeBron and Bronny will become the first father-son duo in NBA history to play in the league simultaneously. They will also be the first to play on the same team.

LeBron and Wade's friendship is well-known among NBA fans. They spent four seasons together on the Heat, bringing Miami two NBA titles. Wade later reunited with LeBron on the Cavaliers following his Heat tenure.

Bronny will see his first NBA action in July as he and the Lakers head to San Francisco and Las Vegas for the Summer League. He spent one year with the USC Trojans before declaring for the draft.
