Shohei Ohtani is the Los Angeles Dodgers' $700 million dollar man, but he's not quite Bruce Wayne on the baseball diamond just yet as evidence by a potential injury saving catch from Dodgers bat boy Javier Herrera.

Herrera snagged a line drive with his bare hands directly in front of Ohtani, who was forced to dive for cover as it screamed toward him and the Dodgers' dugout on Friday.

"I was just doing my job," Herrera said in response to the viral moment, which happened during an at-bat from Dodgers second baseman Kike Hernandez.

The friendly fire almost took out the Dodgers' prized offseason signing and power-hitting designated hitter/pitcher extraordinaire, whose reaction to the saving stop was captured on film.

An elated Ohtani appears to say something to Herrera as the ball is handed to Dodgers clubhouse personnel after the incredible catch.

"This deserves a couple grand in bonuses," one fan said in the comments section about the catch.

"Wish we had another two seconds on this video," another fan added.
