This year’s BET Awards , held Sunday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, delivered a night celebrating Black talent in entertainment. As usual, in between big wins were performances by artists across genres, and when it came to representing country, singers and Cowboy Carter collaborators Shaboozey and Tanner Adell brought their A-game.

Adell graced the stage to prove that Black people are still making their mark on country and debut a new song, “Cowboy Break My Heart.” The “Buckle Bunny” wore a white lace catsuit while singing the track, which tells a familiar story of hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

“I gave you everything/ The moon and the stars/ I gave you Jupiter, but you still wanted Mars/ Been a good girl/ But I’m tired of being patient/ I let my walls down, and I hate it,” Adell sang on the BET stage.

The Kentucky native also sang her hit “Buckle Bunny.” Her performance comes after Adell was recently signed to LVRN.

“They made it so obvious that they knew exactly who I was and exactly how they were going to help me achieve what I want to achieve,” she said in a previous statement .

Shaboozey rocked the crowd with a performance of “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” In a set reminiscent of a country dive bar, the Virginia native played guitar while singing the hit. To attendees’ and viewers’ surprise, the singer brought out J-Kwon, whose 2004 classic, “Tipsy,” is interpolated in the Shaboozey’s hit.

The 29-year-old has been having a major year. He collaborated with Beyoncé on two Cowboy Carter tracks: “Spaghetti”and “Sweet Honey Buckiin’.” In May, he released his LP, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going , and watched “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” rapidly climb and reach the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
