The Los Angeles Lakers have watched the likes of Klay Thompson, Paul George, Jonas Valanciunas, and James Harden agree to deals with other teams. So far, the Lakers remain winless in NBA free agency.

When Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN broke the news that the Los Angeles Clippers had agreed to a deal on Monday with center Mo Bamba, fans hopped on their phones right away to remind everyone of the Lakers front office's dismal performance.

Bamba isn’t a big-name free agent who is not going to move the needle much for his new team, but at least the Clippers have something going for them after losing Paul George.

It is worth mentioning as well that Bamba used to play for the Lakers. He had a cup of coffee with the Purple & Gold franchise in 2023 when he was sent to LA by the Orlando Magic via a four-team swap that also included the Denver Nuggets and the Clippers.

“I first read agreed to 1-year deal with Los Angeles Lakers and I thought we finally have a help at center spot 😭😭😭”

“The Lakers - the premier team globally with the most famous athlete - has done NOTHING and nobody is saying a word about it. What gives?”

“Clipper cooking tf out of the Lakers. Rob at Disneyland right??”

“Lmfao, lakers really running it back with the same roster”

“No one wants to go to the lakers especially with bron y and lebron there the media is gonna be hell”

“I saw the Los Angeles and went oh lakers finally picked someone up but still no”

Bamba, who turned just 26 years old last May, has career averages of 7.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.
