Lakers rookies Bronny James and Dalton Knecht spoke to the media as NBA players for the first time on Tuesday.

Los Angeles held an introductory press conference for its two 2024 NBA Draft picks at its practice facility in El Segundo, Calif. James, the No. 55 pick in the draft, has already signed a "multiyear guaranteed" contract with the Lakers, securing his spot on the NBA roster. Knecht, the No. 17 pick in the draft, is expected to immediately contribute to Los Angeles' rotation.

New head coach JJ Redick confirmed during the press conference that he expects both rookies to play in the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer Leagues.
