The Los Angeles Lakers ' selection of LeBron James ' son, Bronny, has garnered plenty of attention in the NBA. While some corners have lauded the never-before-seen development, others have criticized the move for being self-serving, claiming nepotism played a vital role in the team's decision to bring his son to the Lakers.

However, one prominent player who believes that Bronny's addition benefits LeBron and the league as a whole is Paul George . The veteran wingman recently expressed his excitement about seeing father and son share the court.

This adds more to LeBron's legacy

"The King" will be 40 years old when the new season begins. Despite some noticeable slippage in his game, the native of Akron, Ohio, remains one of the league's best, which is a testament to his longevity and unwavering commitment to maintaining his physical conditioning.

This type of dedication has ultimately led to Bron getting the one-of-a-kind chance to possibly share the court with his oldest son, LeBron James Jr., who the Lakers selected with the 55th pick in this year's draft. PG-13 praised the 20-time All-Star for being in the league long enough to see his son make it to this level.

"That's dope. I think people hate on it because they're not looking at it from the perspective of what that means to Bron. You know what I mean? It's dope that he gets to play with his son. As big as his legacy is, that's part of his legacy, too. Like the first player ever to be able to play with his son in the NBA. That sh*t is not talked about enough," the nine-time All-Star said on his podcast.

There are legitimate concerns over the quality of Bronny's skills, especially after an unimpressive one-and-done season at USC, where he averaged 4.8 points on 36 percent shooting, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. But PG begged to differ, claiming the 19-year-old could develop into a solid NBA player.

"People are hating on Bronny, saying he isn't a prospect, he isn't this, he isn't that. It's wrong because they have a certain image of what they think Bronny is supposed to be. But he's not LeBron. He's his own person, and he's going to be his own player. I think he has talent, but people aren't giving him the credit he deserves," the six-time All-NBA team member stressed.

    A cool moment

Bronny would undoubtedly go through the growing pains of being an NBA rookie, especially with the added pressure and scrutiny of having a famous father. However, PG emphasized how excited many hoop fans are to see LeBron and Bronny finally share the court at some point in the season.

"He gets a chance to play with his son, coach his son. How cool is that going to be? At any point in the season, I don't know how soon JJ Redick is going to throw Bronny out there, but it'll be cool to see. Just imagine Bronny throwing an alley-oop to LeBron. LA is going to go crazy," Paul George exclaimed.

It truly is a special time in the NBA. Although Kin James is nearing the twilight of his decorated career, he gets to accomplish a dream that many fathers in the league never had the chance to do. And Bronny gets to learn from one of the greatest players of all time, both on and off the court.
