Many of the top NBA free agents are off the board, but there are still some impact players available. While a lot of cap space has already been used, especially by the most attractive free agent destinations, there are still creative avenues for the top remaining free agents to join new teams.

Arguably the most sought after free agent still on the market is six-time NBA All-Star DeMar DeRozan. Expected to leave the Chicago Bulls, DeRozan has been heavily linked to the Los Angeles Lakers due to their interest in upgraded the roster and his ties to LA.

Appearing in Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" music video that released on Thursday, DeRozan has NBA fans convinced that a move to the Lakers could be in his future:

Kendrick is also from Los Angeles, which is where this music video was filmed. DeRozan's recent appearance at Kendrick's show at the Kia Forum, along with his move to join the rapper in his music video, has only further ignited the belief that he could find his way to the Lakers in free agency.

Countless comments like these have been left under posts of DeRozan's appearance in the music video, as it is clear he has a deep love for the city he grew up in. Many have even pointed out how he used to play for the Toronto Raptors, which is Drake's home team, but is now showing his loyalty to Kendrick and Los Angeles.

Also playing his college basketball at USC, DeRozan has spoken about how cool it would be to play NBA basketball in Los Angeles, but that opportunity has yet to present itself.

While the Lakers do not have the cap space to sign DeRozan outright unless he wants to take a large pay cut, there could be some creative ways to facilitate a move that lands him there, but it would not be easy.

The NBA's new CBA is very restrictive, which even limits the sign and trade possibilities for Chicago and Los Angeles. That said, it would be great to see DeRozan play in his hometown.
