In case you were wondering, it has just been a little over a week since LeBron James' camp announced that the NBA's all-time leading scorer was willing to take a pay cut in order to help the Los Angeles Lakers bring in some fresh talent via free agency.

Since then, the Lakers have failed in their pursuit of Klay Thompson , James Harden, and Jonas Valanciunas, who were the three players supposedly on LeBron's wishlist.

On Sunday, LA lost out on another big-name free agent target after the Chicago Bulls agreed to a sign-and-trade deal to send DeMar DeRozan to the Sacramento Kings.

This is yet another L for the Lakers, who have yet to make a significant splash in the offseason. Unsurprisingly, LA supporters could not hide their distress on X (formerly Twitter):

"DeRozan chose the Kings over the Lakers," read a tweet with a heartbroken emoji.

"Nobody wants to play with LeBron, nobody but his son," commented a fan.

"Dejounte, Trae, Lauri, DeMar. None will be in LA," read another.

"Damn. How do [the Lakers] not sign him? Compton and USC grad!" a fan pointed out.

    "Hurts," a supporter admitted.

    "We stink," read another comment.

To say that the free agency has been disappointing for the Lakers thus far would be an understatement.
