Dodgers send 6 players to 2024 MLB All-Star Game

The Dodgers will be well-represented at the 2024 MLB All-Star Game in Arlington. They'll send six players to the festivities according to an announcement from the league Sunday afternoon.

Shohei Ohtani was already announced as a starter. He'll be joined by Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Tyler Glasnow and Teoscar Hernandez.

Betts won't be able to play by mid-July since he's still working his way back from a broken hand. He'll still be recognized as an All-Star for the eighth time in his career. It's pretty impressive that Betts, who hasn't played since breaking his hand on June 16, is still No. 10 in FanGraphs WAR. Despite the injury he put together a body of work in 72 games that is well-deserving of an All-Star nod.

Freeman lost out to Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper for the starting spot in the NL lineup. He's still an All-Star for the eighth time as a reserve.

We might still see Glasnow, who earned his first All-Star nod, get the start for the NL. Hernandez, now a two-time All-Star, could also get a start with Padres outfielder and All-Star starter Fernando Tatis Jr. out with an injury.

Even if Ohtani winds up being their only starter, Los Angeles' presence will be hard to miss during the All-Star festivities in Texas at Globe Life Field where they won their last World Series in 2020.
