Bronny James won't be playing in the Los Angeles Lakers' second Summer League game after sustaining an injury from their opener on Friday.

According to Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet, James is dealing with some " trace swelling in his left knee ," forcing the Lakers to hold him out of the second game of a back-to-back.

The Lakers play the Golden State Warriors this Saturday following their game against the Sacramento Kings. The good news is that Bronny is expected to suit up in their third and final game against the Miami Heat on Wednesday.

"Bronny James has some trace swelling in his left knee, and will be held out of today’s second day of a back-to-back for precautionary reasons. He’s expected to play in Wednesday’s final California Classic game vs. Miami," Trudell reported.

It's certainly disappointing news, especially since many fans were eager to see how LeBron James' kid will perform in the tournament.

Bronny James tallied just four points, two rebounds and two assists in his Summer League debut against the Kings. But Lakers summer league coach Dane Johnson did say he plans to give the former USC guard plenty of chances to acclimate himself.

Unfortunately, Bronny got injured. Hopefully, it won't be a recurring issue and that James would be able to play in the remainder of the Summer League upon his return.
