    Block party at Paramount Studios to support cancer research

    The Concern Foundation’s 49th Annual Block Party — an outdoor food, beverage, and entertainment celebration — is set to take place on Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m. on the historic backlot of Paramount Studios Hollywood, bringing together 4,000 guests for an evening dedicated to raising funds for cancer research.

    This year’s Block Party theme, “Mission Concern – Conquering Cancer The Final Frontier,” pays tribute to the Stanley and Joyce Black Family Foundation for their contributions to the community.

    Attendees will be able to indulge in a culinary journey through the streets of Paramount’s Backlot, sampling an array of gourmet food tastings, desserts, spirits, cocktails, wines, and beers. Musical performances by the Tom Nolan Band on the Main Launch Pad, D’ City Sound & Events presented by the Hirsch Family Foundation, and the Vibrato Intergalactic Cantina featuring the Jason Goldstein Sextet with Lilli Passero, and other special artists will set the tone for an electric atmosphere.

    This year’s restaurants include 1212 Santa Monica, A.O.C. Wine Bar, Arth Bar + Kitchen, Brique French Toastery, Café Dulce, California Sushi Academy, Casablanca Restaurant, Champion’s Curry, Chubby Foods by Chubby Group, Churn, Dulan’s on Crenshaw, Emporium Thai, Factor’s Famous Deli, Farm Fresh To You, Fogo de Chão, Fresh Brothers, Gyu-Kaku, Hayama, Herb Alpert’s Vibrato Grill & Jazz, La Boheme, Leona’s Sushi House & The Village, Mama M Sushi, Maria’s Italian Kitchen, Miracle Noodle, Nobu Malibu, Ocean Prime Beverly Hills, Pink Taco, Pink’s Famous Hot Dogs, Porta Via, Portillo’s, Ratatouille Catering, Room Service Neighborhood, Settecento DTLA, SITK – Someone’s In The Kitchen, STK Los Angeles, The Grill on the Alley, Tokyo Kitchen, and Uchi West Hollywood.

    Desserts will be presented by Bea’s Bakery and Sugar & Grace Bakeshop, Bertha Mae’s Brownie Co., Chocolate and the Chip, DeLuscious Cookies & Milk, Just Jan’s, Krack’d Snacks, La Conversation Bakery, Lei’d Cookies, Mamala’s Mandel Bread, Melona, Mochidoki, Mychal’s Coffee & Bakery, Pietro’s Favorite Lemon Ice, Porto’s Bakery & Café, The Gourmandise School, The Toffee Twins, and Mauna Loa Ice Cream Truck. Coffee and Tea will be provided by Caffe Luxxe, DUBA Tea., Pasquini Espresso Co., and Weaver’s Coffee & Tea.

    Brands will feature spirits and specialty cocktails such as BUZZBAR®, alcohol-infused ice cream and sorbet bars for adults, City Vodka, Good Money Whisky, Dulce Vida Tequila, Empress Gin, Flor de Caña Rum, Knox & Dobson, Last Shot, Lodestar Whiskey, Melograno, Mezcal 33, Mezcal Rosaluna, Milagro Tequila, Mission Cocktails, Nuda Tequila, and Veranda Cocktails.

    Wineries including Austin Hope, Bella Luna Estate Winery, Bido Wines, DAOU Vineyards, Deutsch Family Wines & Spirits, Frey Vineyards, J. Lohr, Lasseter Family Winery, Maestro Dobel Tequila, Mesa Del Sol Vineyards, Miner Family Winery, Oak Farm Vineyards, ONX Wines, SLO Coast Wine, Venge Vineyards, and Wilson Creek Winery will be showcasing a wide range of their wines.

    Asahi Super Dry and Common Space Brewery will be pouring beer, and HOP WTR and smartwater will be hydrating humans all throughout the event.

    Guests will also experience Brian Kramer Photography Digital Photo Studio sponsored by Northern Trust, casino style gaming for prizes presented by Agua Caliente Casinos, a photo booth by SnapItStudio.com, specialty lounge areas provided by Souza Insurance, shuttle services at the event sponsored by Motev, spa services provided by Fairmont Spa Century Plaza, and glamour makeovers by the Beauty Bus Foundation. The highlight of the evening will be the online silent and live auctions featuring exclusive items and packages to support cancer research.
