Gabrielle Union & Daughter Kaavia’s Latest Red-Carpet Appearance Has Us Seeing Double & They Are Too Cute

She’s poised, she’s confident, and she’s oh-so-shady — Kaavia James brought her signature Shady Baby energy to the red carpet last night, and she looked adorable twinning with her mom Gabrielle Union!
The Bring It On alum brought her 5-year-old, who she shares with husband Dwyane Wade, to Disney’s Descendants: The Rise of Red premiere at Walt Disney Studios on Wednesday night, and both ladies looked fierce in coordinating navy blue dresses. Kaavia’s sleeveless blue dress had white trim along the neckline, arms, and bottom hem, which matched her white flats. She held a cream bucket purse in one hand, and her hair was cutely arranged in an updo for the special moment.

Union wore a similar navy blue dress, which was sleeveless and had a white slip under layer that peeked out the bottom for a more grown-up look. She paired hers with comfy white sneakers and carried a blue bucket bag.
The photos were full of love, with Kaavia holding her mom’s hand in some and giving her a huge hug in others. What a fun mother-daughter outing!

The Space Cadet star shared photos from the event on her Instagram , including one of her and Kaavia posing next to Rita Ora and Brandy on the red carpet. The post also included a video of Kaavia getting her hair done and posing for pictures on the stairs at their home. They also took a mirror photo in Union’s closet, where Kaavia gave her shadiest look to the camera. It’s giving sass, and we love it!

Other cute moments included a video of Union trying to get her daughter to “pop out on ‘em” and pose, with Kaavia just walking off saying, “I’m not popping out.” Hey, she’s not afraid to set boundaries! Later, though, Kaavia seemed in a much better mood, jumping up and down in the theater as they watched the new film. Overall, it seems like a success!
Fans were loving this cute post. “’I’m not popping out’ … is like an introvert saying you lucky you even got me outta the house 😂😂😂😂😂😂,” one person wrote. Another said, “A true firecracker in human form. 🧨🧨🧨♥️♥️♥️” We know that’s right!
