The ex-president's trainer line, The Never Surrender Sneakers, was available for a limited time only earlier this year at Sneaker Con Pennsylvania - with the brand producing just 1,000 pairs. Upon hearing the news, sneaker resellers at the Los Angeles event scrambled to find every possible pair they could buy, with some even getting into verbal altercations.
"It was like 100 hungry fish going for a single piece of bait," independent trainer enthusiast Tanner Henderson told Daily Express US, reports the Express US . "There were about a dozen pairs laying around today, earlier in the day dealers were asking a couple thousand, by the time the news broke you couldn't even find a pair for sale under 15k," Henderson stated.
Just 20 minutes after the news broke, two known sneaker resellers could be seen exchanging heated words, after one found a pair of the shoes for a moderate $4,000. One independent trainer store owner told Express US: "It's sad that dealers can capitalize on the market like this, but that's how the game is." One vendor quoted $30,000 for a size 12 pair of the exclusive sneakers - noting the high price tag was due to them being the "family and friends" edition, meaning fewer were made.

The incident unfolded around 6:15 pm ET with shots ringing out from a rooftop nearby. Trump hit the deck as Secret Service agents quickly formed a protective barrier. After a tense few minutes, Trump was assisted to his feet by agents and whisked away from the scene.
A rally-goer tragically lost their life, while two others are in critical condition, the Secret Service confirmed. Interestingly, Trump made an appearance at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia earlier in February this year . He unveiled what he dubbed the inaugural Trump sneaker's flashy gold high tops adorned with an American flag motif at the heel.
His shoe-selling website also lists various Trump-themed footwear and "Victory47" scent, priced at $99 per bottle. Despite promoting the event, Trump's campaign claims no affiliation with the website, though campaign officials did hype up his attendance online.
