James scored eight points for Los Angeles and told reporters after the game that he's simply going with the flow and adapting to the professional level despite the critics, pundits, and doubters who may negatively discuss his athletic ability.

"I'm just looking forward to any basketball I play, no matter what level I'm playing at," James told ESPN and other outlets Friday.

James also described his current performance as a "slump," which he will likely have to get out of to see his team remain afloat in Summer League action. Action has already shifted from California to Las Vegas, as the Lakers face the reigning NBA champion Celtics in the second of potentially four remaining games through Sunday, July 21.
