Dalton Knecht stole the show once again for the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night as they took on their age-old rivals, the Boston Celtics, in the NBA 2K Summer League. The Lakers suffered their second loss of the tournament after falling 88-74, but Knecht emerged as one of the bright spots for LA.

The rookie finished with 19 points on 7-of-21 shooting to go along with three rebounds, two assists, three steals, a block, and two triples in 35 minutes of action. Despite the loss, it was an outstanding all-around performance from the No. 17 overall pick.

After the game, Knecht was involved in a rather bizarre interaction with a Lakers supporter who had an unusual autograph request. The fan asked Knecht to sign his name on a Connect 4 game.

Being the good sport that he is, the Lakers rookie gladly obliged. In fact, he even shared a photo of the moment on his own Instagram account.

For those that need context, the Connect 4 association stems from Knecht choosing the No. 4 jersey. At this point, it is clear that he's fully embraced his new nickname.

The above tweet has taken on a life of its own, and the fans have been praising the 23-year-old for not only being a high-potential prospect for the Lakers but for his appeal to the supporters as well.

Big things could be coming from this young man this season, both on and off the court.
