Listings were lost and won on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles Season 15, Episode 2! Last week, our favorite real estate agents were back in action coming up with ways to keep business booming in a challenging market. Things were not well with the Joshs either when Flagg accused Altman of ditching him on a co-listing . This week, Altman makes a hard decision on a listing, and the Joshs make amends. Here’s everything you need to know about MDLLA Season 15, Episode 2: “Hate To Say I Told You So.”

Flagg gets a second chance with Carly, but not with Altman

Heather and Altman have had the Readcrest property for 45 days now and there is still no movement. They shared their frustration with their co-listing agent/wife of the developer, Mandana. Altman told her they were unable to show the property because of the short-term leases. Mandana didn’t want to give up $80 grand a month for leasing as that covered the home’s overhead costs. Altman said, “The fact that I can’t do my job and actually help these people sell this house, that I care more than anything.” However, she finally budged and said she would ask the partners if they would agree not to rent the house out for a month.

All was not lost yet with Flagg’s $16.5 million offer to Carly for her Beverly Hills home. She now agreed she would sell it if he could find her the home of her dreams. Easy, right? Flagg takes her to Mt. Olympus to see if a recently remodeled 7500-square-foot home checks all her boxes. Carly gasped, “The view is epic,” but it didn’t have her six bedrooms, garden, or walkable. Womp, womp. The clock was ticking because the $16.5 million offer was only viable for a limited time. They also discussed his relationship with Altman. Flagg lamented the two, “Aren’t the close friends we were this time last year.”

Tracy scores a win for her Crescent Bay property

Last week, Tracy took on the Crescent Bay listing in OC. She was unsuccessful in convincing the seller’s slash co-listing agent to price under eight million. That is until they received an all-cash offer of $7.1 million to their $8.775 million asking price. They originally scoffed at the amount, but Tracy had a plan. Counter the lowball offer by coming down to $7.995 million. This could make their offer go up, as well as incite a bidding war with new offers. The sellers were sold and finally agreed to list their home at the price Tracy had originally intended. Magic!

Altman and Heather continued to have troubles with Readcrest. But first, Altman had to vent about Flagg. In his confessional, he said, “Tracy thinks, ‘Oh no, he’s different.’ Flagg’s the same person. He’s still spoiled, lazy, travels nonstop, and doesn’t care.” So, they’re going to be friends soon right?

Altman couldn’t dwell too long on Flagg however. He and Heather were unable to show a potential buyer the Readcrest home due to another short-term lease. They were embarrassed, but Heather directed the buyer to meet at their Beverly Grove listing. It was more reasonably priced, and most of all, available to see. The buyer was interested, but because Altman hyped up Readcrest he wanted to see that before making any decisions. Altman said, “When you do your job well, sometimes you get bit in the ass.”

Altman and Flagg put a band-aid on their friendship

In what I hope is a running theme this season, Flagg continued his quest to learn mundane office tasks by successfully scanning a document for the first time. Flagg proudly informed Tracy of the news, but she was more interested in his beanie hat. He was supposed to meet up with Altman, and she advised he’d never make amends with that on top of his head. Meanwhile, Heather coached Altman on his outfit for Flagg and how to speak to him. The Joshs needed all the help they could get, but ultimately it was up to them to make a truce.

Altman and Flagg sat down and exchanged tepid “Heys” with one another. Flagg got right to the point and told Altman his feelings were hurt that he didn’t call him to let him know he wasn’t co-listing the Readcrest property. Altman decided to explain in the third person. He said, “Josh Altman works his ass off, shows the house seven times to seven of his clients.” Altman said he asked if Flagg could co-list, but Mandana said no because Flagg “doesn’t like modern houses.” Flagg called BS and again pushed Altman to explain why he didn’t call him.

The air was tense between them. Altman admitted he should have called, but there was more to the story. He felt his friendship was one-sided with Flagg. Flagg never asked about his family or personal life. This shocked Flagg as he thought this conversation was going to be about Readcrest, not about him emotionally supporting Altman. Which we all know isn’t Flagg’s forte. But Flagg rose to the challenge (it must have been the beanie). He told Altman he wanted to fix their issues and his feelings were important. That seemed to do the trick, and the two hugged it out. But somehow their issues still felt unresolved.

Tracy’s plan to reduce the Crescent Bay listing to $7.995 million to generate offers had fallen flat. She met up with the sellers at a restaurant with gorgeous ocean views to commiserate on the property. The market had struck again, keeping the home from moving quickly. One thing they had in their favor was the listing was relatively new compared to others. They decided to hold at the current price and see what happened. Tracy said, “It’s going to be a long year for real estate agents and brokers around the country.”

While Tracy decided to keep the listing, Altman decided to ditch Readcrest. Guess we didn’t have to wait all season to find out what happened after all. It had been three months, and their listing agreement was coming to a close. Altman recommended Mandana take the listing of the MLS. It was a hard decision, but the right one. He mused, “You don’t win every time, that’s for sure.”

But Flagg won with with Carly. He showed her a new home in the flats that checked all the boxes, minus the marine feature. He was able to close the deal at $14.4 million and get the offer of $16.5 million to come through for her Beverly Hills lot. Flagg and his housekeeper both wore shark costumes to share the good news with Carly. She appreciated their effort to enact a marine feature, and it was a cute moment between two friends. Flagg noted a lot of agents call themselves sharks but it’s all talk. He added, “Who’s the shark now, Altman?” With that little dig, it seems the two Joshs still have a long way to go in repairing their friendship.

Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles continues Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
