Lamar Odom Sends 11-Word Message To Bronny James

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 93-89 on Thursday night at the Las Vegas Summer League. Bronny James played well once again, scoring 13 points with five rebounds on 5-of-10 from the field.

After his best game of his young career Wednesday night, he responded with another double-digit performance. After the game, former Lakers champion Lamar Odom praised James with an encouraging message on X.

"Keep swinging through them lanes, going to the cup young buck," Odom wrote.

Odom responded to a video of the Lakers rookie driving down the floor for a crafty layup.

The first few games for James were rough going. He has turned it around in the past two contests and has flashed plenty of potential, catching the attention of many.

Odom won a couple of NBA titles wearing the Lakers uniform, so he has seen plenty of top-tier basketball being played in LA and is encouraging the rookie with the message.

James and the Lakers next face off against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday in Las Vegas before the Summer League playoffs begin.
