A woman was stabbed to death with a samurai sword in Los Angeles . The fatal stabbing happened at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at the 300 block of South Huntington Avenue, between Arrow Highway and Cienega Avenue.

A bystander provided cell phone footage of a woman brandishing what looks to be a samurai sword before she is stopped in the middle of the road by LA County Sheriff's deputies .

"I heard the sirens around and then I heard the police saying get down, get down," said San Dimas resident Trinh Garcia.

Garcia was at home when the event took place. She was unaware at the time that the woman was armed with a sword and that another woman who lived in the same house died. Garcia said: "We are stunned, we are shocked."

LASD Lt. Daniel Vizcarra said: "Upon arrival, deputies find a female suffering numerous cuts and lacerations on her body. That female then directs them to a residence on the street where the deputies find an additional female suffering also from lacerations, was later pronounced dead at the scene."

After they entered the house, deputies discovered another woman, who was unharmed but was also sent to the hospital because of a medical issue, according to Vizcarra.

Footage also showed the woman clutching the sword in one hand and walking up to the front door of a house a few doors down while blood was flowing down the other hand.

"Didn't know what was going on, and didn't recognize the lady, thank goodness we weren't home. She just said hello, hello. Maybe she was just crying for help, but at the same time I'm thinking why does she have a sword?" said area resident Ed Consencino.

Although the neighbors claim that the individuals engaged in this tragedy shared a residence, it is still unknown what exactly transpired inside that house on Thursday. "They were quiet people, they only came out to get the mail, open the garage, take the trash out, other than that, they were quiet people," said Garcia.
