WATCH: Will Smith walks off Red Sox for Dodgers series victory

Less than 24 hours after Freddie Freeman's eighth inning grand slam sent the Los Angeles Dodgers to a series opening victory, there was more excitement too be had out of the All-Star break.

In a back-and-forth contest that saw each team plate two runs in the 10th inning, the Dodgers were able to load the bases with one out in the bottom of the 11th. That set up Will Smith to be the hero on Saturday night:

It was an interesting sequence that set up the chance for Smith. With Enrique Hernández serving as the inning's "ghost runner," Chris Taylor walked and runners were left at the corners. That left the Red Sox with a decision to make regarding Shohei Ohtani. They chose to intentionally walk him and load the bases for Smith. Even a five-man infield couldn't contain a soft single for the win.

The walkoff cements the Dodgers' series victory over the Red Sox in a couple of thrilling games fresh out of the break. They'll send James Paxton up against Boston's Kutter Crawford on Sunday evening.
