Los Angeles samurai sword attack leaves one dead and others injured

This is the horrifying moment a woman drenched in blood was caught on camera wielding a samurai sword after she brutally killed one person and injured two others.

The gruesome murder took place at a residence in Los Angeles , where the victim was fatally stabbed.

A bystander managed to capture cell phone video of the bloodied woman brandishing what seems to be a samurai sword before LA County Sheriff's deputies stopped her on the street.

Local resident Trinh Garcia recounted the terrifying ordeal, saying: "I heard the sirens around and then I heard the police saying 'get down, get down'."

Garcia, who was at her home during the attack, was unaware that the assailant had a sword and that another woman from the same house had been slain. In disbelief, Garcia commented: "We are stunned, we are shocked," as reported by Mirror US.

Detailing the horrific incident, LASD Lt. Daniel Vizcarra said: "Upon arrival, deputies found a female suffering numerous cuts and lacerations on her body. That female then directs them to a residence on the street where the deputies find an additional female suffering also from lacerations, was later pronounced dead at the scene."

Deputies discovered another woman inside the house who was unscathed but was still taken to the hospital for a medical condition, Vizcarra added.

The chilling video also captured the suspect holding the sword in one hand while she walked towards the front door of another house, with blood pouring from her other hand.

Local resident Ed Consencino recounted: "I didn't know what was going on, and didn't recognize the lady, thank goodness we weren't home. She just said hello, hello. Maybe she was just crying for help, but at the same time I'm thinking why does she have a sword? ".

The specifics of what transpired inside the house where the incident occurred last Thursday are still unclear.

"They were quiet people, they only came out to get the mail, open the garage, take the trash out, other than that, they were quiet people," neighbor Garcia commented.
