    Guns N' Roses legend Slash cancels tour dates as he announces death of stepdaughter, 25

    Renowned Guns N' Roses guitarist, known by the stage name Slash or offstage as Saul Hudson, made the heartrending announcement of his stepdaughter's passing on Monday morning.

    The rock icon, aged 58, revealed that 25-year-old Lucy-Bleu passed away quietly in Los Angeles . He released a statement via Instagram that read: "Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, the stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024."

    "Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul," it continued, "The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss."

    Slash had a romantic history with Lucy's mother, having first dated Meegan back in 1989 before rekindling their love story in 2015.

    Many fans poured out their condolences and heartfelt messages in response to the tragic news. Among them was Susan Holmes McKagan, the spouse of fellow Guns N' Roses bandmate Duff McKagan who penned: "Words cannot express our deepest sympathy and condolences. love you all so much."

    Melissa Reese, the band's resident keyboardist also added her words of comfort, saying: "There are no words. Sending absolutely all of my love and hugs and condolences and support to you guys."

    Adding to the sentiments was Barbaranne Wylde, wife of Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde who echoed: "So Sorry Meegan and Slash. May God Bless and Keep Lucy Bleu Sending Love and Light Zakk and Barbaranne."

    Guitarist Tyler Bryant expressed his condolences with a brief but poignant message, writing: "So sorry." Slash delivered the gut-wrenching news just half a day after he had to call off four gigs from his S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour due to "unforeseen circumstances".

    An official statement shared on Instagram stated: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour regrettably has to cancel the below performances. Refunds will be available at points of purchase."

    The statement continued: "The S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour will resume in Toronto on July 28, 2024 at Budweiser Stage. We love our fans and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused."

    The axed concerts are as follows:

    July 22 Cincinnati, OH PNC Pavilion at Riverbend.

    July 24 Interlochen, MI Interlochen Center for the Arts.

    July 25 Huber Heights, OH Rose Music Center.

    July 27 Windsor, ON The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor.
