Now that this year's iteration of the NBA Summer League is about to end, the league has officially announced the best players that showed up in the tournament.

While it's hard to argue that the 10 players on the first and second teams deserve their spot on the list, Los Angeles Lakers fans can't help but ask the same question about highly-touted rookie Dalton Knecht.

Knecht, the No. 17 overall pick of the 2024 NBA Draft, turned a lot of heads thanks to his strong performances for the Lakers throughout the Summer League. This is exactly why more than a few LA supporters believe that the 23-year-old did enough to earn a spot on the first or the second team.

"Where‘s dalton knecht?" asked a supporter.

"Dalton Knecht got robbed. 😅" said a fan.

"Where's Dalton ???????" read one of the comments.

"Dalton knecht snubbed," stated a Lakers fan.

"What a joke, knecht should be there man," pointed out a commenter.

In three Sumer League appearances for the Lakers, Knecht put up averages of 21.3 points on 42.1 percent shooting, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 steals, while also knocking down 3.0 triples on a 39.1 percent clip.

Those are some very respectable numbers, which is why basketball purists might argue that the Lakers fans do have a bit of a point here.
