Nova Exhibition, an installation remembering the victims of the Oct. 7 attack on a music festival in southern Israel, is coming to the West Coast on Aug. 17 after two months in New York City.

The exhibit, titled “October 7th 6:29 AM - The Moment the Music Stood Still,” opened in Tel Aviv in April and features items left from the festival and footage from the day. It later moved to lower Manhattan, where it was subject to a series of heated protests. Mayor Eric Adams, alongside other high profile political figures like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Hakeem Jeffries, condemned the demonstrators who lit smoke canisters and flares outside of the installation.

"You do not call for peace and wave flags of Hamas,” Adams said , referencing the terrorist group which claimed the lives of some 1,200 people and kidnapped more than 200 more.

In the Instagram post announcing the move to L.A., organizers of the Nova Exhibition noted that it had “a monumental run in New York City.” The organization has not shared a location or duration for the L.A. exhibition yet.

The terrorist attack on the Nova Music Festival in Israel made it the deadliest concert in history , leaving 360 of the roughly 3,000 attendees dead and more taken as hostages. The rave, described as a “psychedelic trance music festival,” was held miles from the Gaza border.

“The installation sets out to recreate a festival dedicated to peace and love that was savagely cut short by a terrorist attack on that fateful day,” reads the Nova Exhibition website .

Nova Exhibition is a privately funded project founded by Omri Sassi, Yoni Feingold, Ofir Amir and Yagil Rimoni. Its U.S. partners include Scooter Braun, Joe Teplow and Josh Kadden, among others. Reut Feingold serves as creator, director and writer.

Tickets for the exhibit are free but require advanced reservation. Those interested in visiting when it comes to L.A. can sign up for ticket information here .
