“Feels Like Coming Out Of The Womb” – Jim Harbaugh Wasted No Time Being Weird On First Day Of Training Camp

That's an interesting way of putting that, Mr. Harbaugh. Excitement is growing with the return of the NFL right around the corner. Soon we'll trade sweating-through-our-shirts in the summer heat for cool, crisp fall days with football on the TV. I don't know about you, but I can hardly wait. For the Los Angeles Chargers, it's not only the return of football. It's also the return of a distinguished head coach to the NFL. The always entertaining Jim Harbaugh left Michigan (after winning them a national title) and returned to the professional league to take over for the Chargers this past offseason. The former San Francisco 49ers head coach (2012-2014) has been a part of NFL training camp before, but since he's been away from the league for 10 years, he had quite the way of describing the first day of training camp this time around when he spoke with the media:
"It's like New Year's Day. It feels like being born. It feels like coming out of the womb. You're in there. It's comfortable and safe, and now you're out. You're born. Lights are on, it's bright, chaos, people looking at you, people talking at you, and it just feels good to have it happen." https://twitter.com/SharpFootball/status/1816175935298888036 Childbirth analogy... right on Jim. Looks like Harbaugh will be continuing his slightly strange ways , even as he works with professionals now in Los Angeles. He's always been a quirky, charismatic figure, and some thought he would tone it down in his return to the NFL. Judging by his latest childbirth analogy, I'd say that's probably not
going to be the case. How was that quote received by some of his team? Well let's see how the superstar (?) quarterback Justin Herbert reacted to the comparison given by his head coach: "I'll leave the analogies to him. He's done a great job at creating those, so I'll support whatever he says. We're just out there playing football, and my job is to throw the ball, so that's what I'm going to worry about." Good, safe answer by Herbert right there. You can tell he's been reading up on his media etiquette during the offseason...
