Over the years, Draymond Green has consistently acknowledged the significant role of his agent - Rich Paul , in helping him earn a great fortune and secure his future. However, his appreciation extends beyond mere financial matters.

In the most recent episode of his podcast, the former DPOY emphasized how the Klutch Sports CEO establishes an interpersonal relationship with his clients, to the point where Green blindly considers Paul his 'brother' and not his 'agent.'

Draymond on Rich opening his eyes

Buying a house in Los Angeles is an aspiration for even the most successful athletes on the planet. So, when Dray and his wife Hazel found their ideal home in a posh locality, they were eager to proceed with the purchase. However, when Paul entered the scene and visited the location with the couple, an entirely different picture emerged.

According to the four-time NBA Champion, Paul's intervention was crucial in making them recognize that the property was far from perfect and that they were being deceived. More importantly, acting as a family member, Paul even identified the issues and instructed that he wouldn't allow them to make such a blunderous mistake by buying it.

"Rich was out of town when we first saw it. He's like, 'I'm back tomorrow… We'll go see tomorrow right away.' We walk in, I'm excited like I got the crib. He walk in, he like, 'Nope, nope, nope. Way too much of this here. No. Look at this marble'. So, when he showed me, we walked through the house, and he showed me all these things, we didn't even make it to the full house," Green said . "We got to the master bathroom… he sat down and said, 'Listen, I'm not letting ya'll buy this house because ya'll be looking for the next sucker to come by this house 'cause he about to suck this money out ya'll right now.'"

Instances like these make Green feel that talking to Rich is like talking to his brother most of the time.

Green was touched by Paul's level of care

Kentavious Caldwell Pope added to Draymond's point by saying that Rich treats his players like family members. He regularly advises them on personal matters and ensures they avoid financial and emotional trouble. Listening to this, Green exclaimed that Paul's level of dedication is unparalleled today.

"That to me was like a level of care like you don't get that from agents," Green added. "These agents don't care what house you buy."

That being said, such admissions only highlight why Paul has become one of the most trusted and successful agents in sports, particularly in the NBA. The 42-year-old is not only blindly trusted by veterans but also by younger athletes who need someone to constantly keep them in check.
