Post Malone Surprises Crowd At Dwight Yoakam’s LA Show, Joins Him For “Fast As You,” “It Won’t Hurt” & More

    What a surprise.

Over the weekend, Post Malone surprised fans at Dwight Yoakam’s concert at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, California, and played several songs with him, including “Little Ways,” Guitars & Cadillacs” and “Fast As You,” as well as “It Won’t Hurt” during the encore.

Of course, Posty and Yoakam have played together before, once on Dwight’s SiriusXM show Dwight Yoakam & The Bakersfield Beat back in 2018, and once earlier this year when Dwight was a surprise guest at Post Malone’s Stagecoach set.

Post also used Dwight’s band in those videos that went viral of him covering Brad Paisley’s “I’m Gonna Miss Her” and “You Can Have the Crown” during Matthew McConaughey‘s 2021 We’re Texas virtual benefit concert.

And I’m honestly not sure if most of the crowd even knew who Post Malone was, as Yoakam tends to draw an older crowd that’s probably not spinning Beerbongs & Bentleys on the regular, and a funny TikTok went viral of a girl whose parents saw the show and said there was “some hillbilly dude” there playing with Yoakam:

    Gotta love it…

Anywho, you can watch them play “Guitars & Cadillacs” and “Fast As You” here:

And here’s a little of “It Won’t Hurt” too:

Honestly, I’m kind of shocked Dwight isn’t one of the features on Post’s forthcoming F-1 Trillion country album, as the list was leaked late last week and his name wasn’t on it alongside legends like Dolly Parton and Hank Williams Jr.

Of course, there could be a plethora of reasons as to why it didn’t work out, but who knows.. maybe he’ll surprise us though that’s highly unlikely seeing as albums and vinyls are already being made.

They’re kind of an unexpected, but really cool pair, and I’m sure they would’ve come up with something great.

Target Accidentally Leaks List Of Features On Post Malone’s ‘F-1 Trillion,’ Including Dolly Parton, Hank Williams Jr., Billy Strings & More

A STACKED group of features on F-1 Trillion.

On Friday, Target (accidentally) leaked the tracklist for Post Malone’s forthcoming country album, which shows the extensive list of features on the back of the vinyl listing on their website.

The back photo that showed all of the names was quickly removed, but fans were able to get screenshots of all 14 artists that will be on the album, which features legends like Dolly Parton, Hank Williams Jr. and Tim McGraw, as well as current stars like Billy Strings and Lainey Wilson.

Of course, we already know Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs and Blake Shelton will be on the record, because those songs have already been released, and he did tease the song with Chris Stapleton previously.

You can view the entire list here:

And the (since removed) photo for reference:

Post actually dropped the song with Luke this morning called “Guy For That,” and “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen is a multi-week #1 on both the country charts, as well as Billboard Hot 100. He also released “Pour Me A Drink” with Blake Shelton, and teased some of the other songs and features at a recent Nashville concert.

The album is due out everywhere on August 16th, and clearly includes a wide range of incredible artists from both mainstream country and otherwise.

It’s shaping up to be a really exciting release, and I can’t wait to hear what he’s cooked up with Dolly, Hank Jr., and especially Sierra because she’s featured on one called “Never Love You Again” that I already LOVE:
