Ex-Dodgers All-Star, fan-favorite reportedly lands with AL West club

One former member of the Los Angeles Dodgers has found a new home.

Former Dodgers fan-favorite Justin Turner left the club ahead of the 2023 season and joined the Boston Red Sox. He shined in Boston and it led to a deal with the Toronto Blue Jays in free agency ahead of the 2024 campaign.

Turner -- now 39 years old -- has taken a slight step back this year but still has been a solid player for Toronto. As the Blue Jays spiraled out of control, speculation has been building for weeks about the possibility that Turner could end up getting moved. When he signed with the Blue Jays, he seemed like a possible final piece for a contender.

That isn't the case any longer, and he reportedly was traded to the Seattle Mariners on Monday, according to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.

"Mariners acquire Justin Turner, a source tells The Athletic," Rosenthal said.

Turner is known for being a fantastic voice in the clubhouse and also a top-tier, professional hitter. He earned two All-Star nods as a member of the Dodgers in 2017 and 2021 and certainly still can help a team. The Mariners have drastically needed offense and Turner now can be the final piece for them rather than the Blue Jays.

There already has been plenty of movement across Major League Baseball and there still are over 24 hours to go until the trade deadline. What other chaos is in front of us?
