It’s been really good. I think you know, we have a really good team. A lot of people underestimated us, nobody knew what we were going to do last year, and we kind of shocked the world. We put the word on notice of what we can do. Obviously, we made it to the playoffs, we’re coming back with a lot of familiar faces on our team and expecting big things, and I can’t wait to see what we’re going to do this year.

The team signed a bunch of DBs in the offseason, going through a bunch of changes with Coach [Raheem] Morris now in Atlanta.

How do you kind of see your team adapting to this new change?

It’s been great. Chris Shula, our defense coordinator has made the transition. It has been flawless. Obviously, he has the bloodline to be a fantastic coach, which he already is. But he’s done a great job, and the thing about him is he loves the feedback, he’s so interactive with us. As players, we love it when we feed off something. His coming into that new defense coordinator spot has been awesome.

Obviously, Coach Raheem; best of luck to him in Atlanta, but we’re expecting to do big things on the defensive side of the ball.

Looking at the offensive side of the ball, I’m not sure it’s very fun to go up against Puka and Cooper and those guys every day. How does that feel going up against them in practice?

Those guys make you better every day. They’re such students of the game. So smart and obviously they have a fantastic connection with Matthew Stafford , so to go against that elite competition each and every day is only gonna make me and the rest of the DBs better.

Switching gears a little bit; UCLA, all those guys in your draft class and in the last couple of years have been huge for the program. Do you still keep in touch with everybody?

We actually have an alumni group chat, a lot of the guys that either got drafted in my draft class or before & after; we all stay in touch. UCLA is a community that doesn’t just end as soon as you get to the league, all of us stay connected, whether it’s just texting each other, ‘good luck’ or even going against each other when we play. I love those guys shout out to all the Bruins out there, love you guys.

You recently held your football camp. Tell me a little bit about that.

Yeah, football camp was great . It was at my alumni at Mater Dei High School. It was good. We had about 100 kids come out. It was amazing to be able to use my platform and teach and inspire the game of football to the younger generation. It was fantastic and I’m looking forward to a bigger and better camp next year.

Yeah, and then so far like with the Rams I’ve seen you in fashion shoots. You went to Mexico, what was that you?

I think the big thing for me is being marketable, being able to dabble into many different areas of interest for me was great and they boosted me up the Rams at a fantastic at presenting opportunities for me t expand in some of my interests. I’m looking to set up a life after football. Obviously, football is the main thing, gonna give it 100% of my effort, but here and there, making sure that, I’m setting up other things when football ends. I have a good establishment after.

The new college football game just came out. I’m sure you probably didn’t have time to play it now but when you get a chance, are you going to go boot up the game with UCLA?

I’m going to have to boot up the gameplay, a little crosstown, rivaly UCLA/USC to see what I was talking about. Hopefully one day they’ll add retro guys and put the 2021 Bruins in there. So I can see myself you know, pick off some balls, but I haven’t got the game yet, but I’m excited to play it when I do get it.
