The Dodgers have reportedly acquired veteran center fielder Kevin Kiermaier, a four-time Gold Glove winner, from the Toronto Blue Jays in advance of Tuesday’s 3 p.m. trade deadline.

According to multiple reports, the Dodgers will send left-handed pitcher Ryan Yarbrough to Toronto for Kiermaier. Yarbrough had been designated for assignment Monday to make room for infielder Amed Rosario.

Kiermaier is still considered an elite defender in center field, something the Dodgers have lacked this season amid the offensive struggles of James Outman. Andy Pages, who’s started the majority of the Dodgers’ games in center field this season (67) is more of a corner outfielder.

Last season, Kiermaier won his fourth career Gold Glove award in his first season with the Blue Jays. He’s signed one-year deals with Toronto each of the last two off-seasons.

Kiermaier has a career batting average of .246 and a .709 OPS with Toronto (2023-24) and the Tampa Bay Rays (2013-22). In 81 games with the Blue Jays this season, Kiermaier batted .195 with a .546 OPS.

Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman drafted Kiermaier in the 31st round of the 2010 draft when he was in the same role with the Rays.

The Dodgers made one other move in advance of the 3 p.m. PT trade deadline Tuesday, acquiring pitcher Jack Flaherty from the Detroit Tigers .
