The new world of college football recruiting is a roller coaster, and for the USC Trojans , it has been no different. After a jubilant March, June brought questions after a slew of decommitments. July has seen USC Recruiting rise again, and with Fall Camp about to kick off, they add another top recruit.

Four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte has flipped his commitment from the Georgia Bulldogs to the USC Trojans. He had been committed to the Bulldogs since December 8, 2022, and just visited USC this past weekend.

During the visit, 2026 five-star LB/EDGE Xavier Griffin announced his commitment to USC , and Perlotte posted this:

Perlotte is pictured with Lincoln Riley, Director of Player Development Gavin Morris, and Xavier Griffin. Safe to say the visit went well, as before announcing anything official his caption reads “Just know it’s go Trojans ✌️.”

Coach Henderson and the rest of the USC defensive staff have been hot on the trail to flip Perlotte and looks like their hard work and dedication have paid off.

Coach Henny is quickly rising the ranks as one of the top recruiters in the country, and it is very easy to see why. His development resume speaks for itself, but his relationship-building and passion for the game are infectious. It’s simple to see why kids want to play for him.

Perlotte has also received a heavy recruiting push from Florida State and Tennessee, but for now, USC has won out.

As we have seen with recruiting of late, the real work begins now in retaining his commitment until December. It will be integral for USC to show improvement on the field this fall, and the development of the defensive line and linebackers will be a huge selling point that should push it through.

The 6’4, 215-pound All-American from Buford, GA finished last season with 55 total tackles, 2 sacks, 1 interception, and 4 quarterback hurries.

He can play LB or DL at the collegiate level, so it will be interesting to see where the USC staff ultimately decides to slot him, but based on Coach Henderson’s heavy recruitment of him, my guess would be on he defensive line.
