Fulton was also in court for the hearing and wept as her son , wearing a black shirt, black pants, and black boots, smiled as he entered the courtroom with his lawyer and a blonde woman.
Actor and heavy metal musician Weston spoke only briefly to say that he understood that the case was being adjourned until September 19.
Judge Susan De Witt hit Weston with a criminal protective order, which forbids him from having contact with his mom.
“She needs help,” Weston said about his mother as he left court.
Weston’s lawyer, Michael Goldstein, snapped at reporters when asked if his client was guilty of the alleged crimes , “Of course, he’s not guilty, what are you talking about?”
Weston was first arrested and released from jail on $150,000 bail on July 10.
It is believed that his Oscar -winning dad Cage , 60, put up the money to get him out of jail.
Weston is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with force, causing possible great bodily injury.
HORRIFIC INJURIES
After his arrest, Fulton shared a picture of the horrendous injuries to her left eye and cheek she suffered during the attack.
The actress and cosmetics entrepreneur, 57, said in a statement at the time, “On April 28th, 2024, around 5:30pm I received urgent messages from friends of my son, Weston Cage regarding his deteriorating mental state, urging me to come help.

“When I arrived to offer support and console him, he was already in the midst of a manic rage.
“Within minutes, I was brutally assaulted and sustained serious injuries.
“Despite my desperate pleas to the responding Police officers to detain him for a mental health evaluation, the Police officers refused my request and neglected my urgent need for my medical attention.
“As a mother, I am deeply saddened and concerned about Weston’s ongoing mental health crisis.
“It is imperative that he receives the help he desperately needs.”
The arrest was not Coppola’s first.
In 2017, he was detained for a DUI and a hit-and-run.
Cops said Weston, who was 26 at the time, hit several signs, parked cars, and mailboxes before crashing into a tree.
Police were called to the scene after Weston allegedly fled the scene of a separate accident, which occurred a mile away.
He was charged with DUI and arrested on a $30,000 bail after being examined at a hospital.
Coppola also made headlines in 2011 after he faced domestic violence charges following a dispute between him and now ex-wife Nikki Williams.
Weston Cage Coppola's troubled past
Weston Cage Coppola's July 10 arrest wasn't the only time he has gotten in trouble with the law.
In 2011, Weston was arrested twice for domestic violence after allegedly getting into an argument that turned physical with his now ex-wife, Nikki Williams.
Weston was released on a $50,000 bail, ABC News reported.
Six years later, in 2017, Weston was arrested for a DUI and a hit-and-run.
Police were first called to the scene after the heavy metal musician fled the scene of a separate accident one mile away.
