    Sandy Bresler Dies: Jack Nicholson’s Agent For 60-Plus Years & Agency Founder Was 87

    Sandy Bresler, who repped Jack Nicholson for more than 60 years and founded two talent agencies, died today after a brief illness, a rep for his family told Deadline. He was 87.

    Born on January 20, 1937, Bresler began his career as a secretary at William Morris in 1960 and founded the independent boutique agency Bresler-Kelly & Associates with John Kelly in 1983. He also worked at ICM, exiting to establish Bresler, Wolff, Cota & Livingston, later known as the Artists Agency. His family told Deadline that Bresler was well known for his long, productive relationships.

    He also served on the board of the Association of Talent Agents for close to 30 years and was its president and leader for more than a decade. He also was a lifelong member of the Motion Picture Academy.

    Bresler is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy; son Eric; daughter Jennifer Galperson (Rob); and twin grandsons Brandon and Jonah Galperson. A funeral service will be held at noon August 6 at Hillside Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
