Dodgers’ Bobby Miller Scratched From Triple-A Start Due to Injury

Bobby Miller has been scratched from his scheduled start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday night. Jack Harris of the LA Times reported the team is being cautious with Miller as he had some adductor tightness following a bullpen session earlier this week.

Miller spent over two months on the injured list this season due to right shoulder inflammation. He then made four rehab starts before returning to Los Angeles, but struggled mightily, before being optioned to Triple-A.

Miller has struggled across his four Triple-A starts this season, sporting a 5.71 ERA with just 11 strikeouts across 17.1 innings of work. Now, he’s appeared to suffer another minor setback in an overall disappointing second season in Major League Baseball.

After going 11-4 with a 3.76 ERA in 22 starts at the MLB level last season, Miller has struggled in 2024, going 1-2 with an 8.07 ERA in just seven starts. Miller will likely be an option to return to the Dodgers later this month or in September, but first, he’ll need to get healthy and start pitching up to his capabilities.
