News headlines have not been kind to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez in recent months amid ongoing reports they are heading for divorce. However, the Gone Girl star looked practically unrecognizable in a new photo while sporting a fresh haircut.
On Saturday, Aug. 3, Affleck, 51, was photographed during an outing in Los Angeles, Calif. He donned a black Red Hot Chili Peppers T-shirt and gray jeans in the snap, finishing the look with a pair of sunglasses.
However, the actor also sported a new 'do—a shaved faux-hawk, to be exact—ditching his signature hairstyle.

The new picture made fans do a double take, and they didn't hold back with their reactions via Instagram . One person wrote, "Say you’re going through a midlife crisis without saying you are going through a midlife crisis."
Another agreed, commenting, "He’s having major life crisis," while someone else echoed, "Poor guy always looks so miserable."
"Lawd, Jlo pushed that man right over the edge," yet another fan declared.
However, others had a different theory. "Probably for a movie, everybody needs to relax," one Instagram user pointed out.
A second shared, "I'm going to go with a movie role despite the easy rumor."

Affleck's new hairstyle comes during a reportedly tumultuous time in his marriage. Rumors of an impending divorce have swirled since May, and he and Lopez have spent key milestones apart, including their second anniversary , J.Lo's 55th birthday , a vacation in Europe and more.
Recently, Bennifer listed their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion for sale. Affleck, meanwhile, purchased a $20 million home in LA the same day Lopez sold her New York City penthouse.
