    Man, 35, shot to death in Industry identified

    A 35-year-old worker who was shot to death at a business in Industry was identified by county authorities Tuesday.

    The  Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as Edward Shi. Shi was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Deputies were sent to the 18600 block of Gale Avenue, near the Pomona (60) Freeway Monday on a report of a shooting, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

    "Deputies discovered the victim at the location with apparent gunshot wounds to the upper torso," the sheriff's department said in a statement.

    Sheriff's deputies detained as a "person of interest" in the fatal shooting.

    "The person of interest is a former employee of the business where the victim was employed and working during the time of the incident," officials said.
