LAPD investigators have arrested four men in the killing of “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor, who was shot dead in May as three men attempted to steal his car's  catalytic converter in DTLA, and now his family plans to gather at the District Attorney's office to demand "aggressive prosecution," for the alleged killers.

Wactor's mother, coworkers, loved ones, and perfect strangers have had a series of protests demanding swift justice for Wactor saying his cold-blooded, unprovoked murder sends a message that Los Angeles is a lawless sanctuary for criminals who face very little punishment even when caught.

On Monday they will gather in front of the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center that holds District Attorney George Gascón's office. The actor's mother Scarlett Wactor slammed Gascón this week saying at a City Hall press conference where activists called on Mayor Karen Bass to do something about what they call the "alarming rise" in violent crime.

“There is no care or concern for the victims. It's all about the criminal," the grieving mother of the 37-year-old said.

“Murder is wrong. Theft is wrong. It doesn’t matter your color, your financial background, right, left, middle. Even criminals don’t want to be murdered and have their stuff stolen. You've got to stand up. If you don't, it's never going to change. Johnny's death will have been in vain.”

Two days later - roughly three months after Wactor's slaying - the LAPD announced the arrests of three 18-year-old men for his murder: Robert Barceleau, Leonel Gutierrez and Sergio Estrada. A fourth suspect, Frank Olano, 22, was arrested on an accessory charge for helping at least one of the suspects evade the authorities.

The arrests, Wactor's loved ones now say, are not enough. They want assurances from prosecutors that the killers will be hit with the fullest extent of the law saying it is imperative that "the city to take the strongest possible action against these violent crimes and to implement measures that will curb the alarming rise in violent crime thefts across Los Angeles."
