LAFC is the only undefeated team in the MLS
Los Angeles Football Club is the only team unbeaten in MLS in 2023. The 2022 MLS champions won five games and drew three; it hasn’t been an easy path for the Black and Gold. It looks like no team can beat LAFC so far and they remain unstoppable. Attacking-wise, LAFC is dangerous, as Denis Bouanga has been the best form player on the team. He has scored seven goals in the last eight games, while Vela is back in the top flight.
It’s Time To Mix Things Up, Vanney
These Galaxy columns have been a drag to write. It is a dark time to be a fan of the LA Galaxy. Nothing seems to change. There’s no point in trying to justify what’s happening on and off the field. Hearing Vanney after every match is excruciating. He’s...
Vintage Clayton Kershaw Is The Cure
When I turned 26-years-old, I decided to fulfill my obligation as a baseball nerd and set forth on a pilgrimage to Wrigley Field to see the Los Angeles Dodgers play the Cubs. It was the first time I had traveled to see my favorite team as the visitor’s club.
PREVIEW – Playoffs: Los Angeles Kings Get Edmonton Oilers in the First Round
The Los Angeles Kings had a successful season. With the early woes the goaltending brought, the change in goaltenders was just what the Kings needed to acquire a playoff spot. With Jonathan Quick and Cal Petersen out, Pheonix Copley and Joonas Korpisalo have given the Kings the goaltending they need in the playoffs.
LAFC takes over El Trafico
Los Angeles Football Club remains unstoppable as they continue to beat teams in their path. This time the Black and Gold beat rivals LA Galaxy with a score of 3-2 at the Dignity Health Sports Park. Although Los Galaxy performs well every time they are against LAFC at home, it...
John Thorrington’s and LAFC’s journey to a dynasty
Since its debut back in 2018 LAFC was born with high expectations. New club, in the heart of Los Angeles, owned by a long list of celebrities and ex athletes, the club was born to be big. A big part of the club’s success has been thanks to the decisions from the front office, especially from general manager John Thorrington.
Dodgers Recap: Week 2
It’s a National League West tour for the Dodgers to start the season. After sweeping a two-game series against the Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles started their first road trip. The Dodgers made their way to the desert for a 4 game series against the Diamondbacks and followed it with their first rivalry series against the Giants.
El Trafico Will Be a Bloodbath
That’s enough. It’s time to say the unavoidable. The Los Angeles Galaxy will get destroyed by the defending champions. The unbeaten LAFC will come to their home and tighten up the grip it has on the city of Angels. The question isn’t who will win Sunday’s first Trafico...
Why Winning Concacaf Champions League is Important
LAFC had a convincing win against the Vancouver Whitecaps; defeating the Canadian club 3-0 and totaling a 6-0 win in aggregate. With this victory LAFC now moves on to the semifinals where they will either play Atlas de Guadalajara or the Philadelphia Union. LAFC is just two steps away from cementing themselves as a top tier MLS Club. Obviously the club comes off winning the 2022 MLS Cup to complete the double but that was just the first step. They had a stacked lineup last season that indicated it was either boom or bust for them. This season many faces left the franchise and yet they continue to dominate the competitions. It also helps when star players play at their highest level. Which is what Gabonese star Denis Bouanga has been doing for Los Angelinos. All around LAFC have been a dominating team this year and it’s thanks to John Thorrington and the scouting department.
Los Angeles Kings: Who Will Be The Starter In The Playoffs?

LAFC vs Austin FC: Recap
The Black and Gold welcomed Austin Fc to BMO stadium for an intense matchup. In 2022 Austin FC won both regular season matchups against Los Angelinos. However, LAFC would have the last laugh as they would defeat Austin in the Western Conference Finals 3-0. Which then lead LAFC to win the 2022 MLS Cup. For a 4:30 Pacific Time start and the day before easter, BMO Stadium would have a packed house with the energy barely being able to be contained.
LAFC vs Austin FC:Preview
After a dominating 3-0 win on the road against the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Concacaf Champions League on Wednesday, the Black and Gold will host Austin FC this Saturday night at BMO Stadium. Old faces meeting again. This will be a rematch of last years Western Conference Final, where LAFC...
Previewing Austin FC Matchup
Los Angeles Football Club will play their first home game of the month when they take on Austin Fc. They will however have to take care of business in the Concacaf Champions League as they face off against the Vancouver Whitecaps. This weekends game will be a rematch of last years Western Conference Final. In which LAFC won with a dominant 3-0 scoreline and advanced to play the 2022 MLS Cup. Austin has had a slow start to the season and currently have a 2-1-2 record. They come off a 1-1 draw against the Colorado Rapids. Which coincidentally was LAFC’s last rival and also tied with them 0-0. LAFC have had success at home this season going 3-0 in league play. With victories against the Portland Timbers, New England Revolution, and FC Dallas. LAFC will need to continue this good streak at home if they are to catch up the surprise upstarts St. Louis. Who lead the Western Conference with 15 points.
Los Angeles Kings Capture Spot In Stanley Cup Playoffs
The Los Angeles Kings have punched their ticket to the 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs. They will now have a chance to once again lift Lord Stanley above their heads in a short time. While the hard work has paid off, the regular season is nothing compared to playoff hockey. Los...
Dodgers Notes From Week 1
Under the newly added flashing LED blue lights, the Dodgers showed every aspect of their game during their first week series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. They unleashed a dominating starting rotation that gave up four runs in 25 innings of play. The offense displayed their inconsistency by scoring 10 runs in one game and going 0-for-6 with runners in scoring positions the following game. Will Smith also doesn’t know how to deal with runners stealing bases.
Bring Back the Soul of the LA Galaxy
The LA Galaxy have controlled the pace of the game by possessing the ball for the majority of their games. The team builds up from the back and takes shots on goal. The defense has developed under Jalen Neal’s leadership, and they are playing better in every game than in their last.
LAFC and Colorado Rapids share a point
Los Angeles Football Club and Colorado Rapids shared a point at Dick’s Sporting Good Park. This was the second occasion the MLS 2022 champions salvaged a point this season. Although the game ended in a 0-0 draw both teams had chances, but failed to score. The Rapids were dangerous mostly on set pieces. Colorado Rapids came the closest to notching in the first 45 minutes with a header inside the penalty box.
Colorado vs LAFC: Preview
After a difficult 2-1 win over 10 men F.C Dallas last Saturday, LAFC will visit Colorado, a place that has not been kind to the Black and Gold. The most memorable matchup there is the 2-5 defeat back in 2021 on Decision Day which made LAFC miss the playoffs for the first time. Here is a preview for Saturday’s game.
A Busy April for LAFC
The Black and Gold are in for one of the most chaotic months this season. As they will be on the road for most of the month and will only play at BMO Stadium just three times in April. Twice will be for league play and the other is the return leg in CCL. The home matches include a rematch of the Western Conference Finals against Austin Fc. While the other league match is against the Houston Dynamo. Their Concacaf Champions League matchup will be against the Vancouver Whitecaps. We know LAFC has had tremendous success at home and as we saw last season heading out can be a challenge. 2022 was plagued with many draws away from home, which in hindsight isn’t a bad sign. Their second biggest win was a road win at Portland, where they became Supporter Shields Champions. So, obviously the club is comfortable on the road. However, that doesn’t mean they enjoy it as the travel can get gruesome.
