Rain chances decrease through the week
Drier air moves in from the north bringing wildfire smoke and decreasing the chance for rain. Isolated storm chances will continue through the week. Isolated rain chances have caused the NWS to issue a Flood Watch that includes the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon Burn Scar Area and areas west of Las Vegas. This Flood Watch will be in place through the afternoon on Tuesday July 23rd. Burn Scar flash flooding will remain a concern as we move into the evening.

Pet Paradise employee arrested for animal cruelty
Sheila Baca, 37, of Los Lunas, was arrested July 22 for larceny and animal cruelty at Pet Paradise on Quantum Road. According to a criminal complaint filed with the Sandoval County Magistrate Court, police were called to the Pet Paradise on a report where the caller said she was elbowed by her human resources representative.
