RENO COUNTY—A Kansas man died in an accident just after noon Wednesday in Reno County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 EZ Liner Truck, a Reno County Public Works Department vehicle, driven by Melvin Joseph Hoyle, 25, South Hutchinson, was eastbound on Pretty Prairie Road just east of High Point Road.

Lansing inmate to face another decade after found with meth in prison pasture
LANSING, Kan. (KCTV) - An inmate already behind bars in Lansing will spend a decade longer in prison after he was caught with meth in a prison cow pasture. Leavenworth County Attorney Todd Thompson announced on Wednesday, Aug. 14, that Christopher Redgate, 39, an inmate who had been caught with methamphetamine, has been sentenced to 123 months - 10 years and 3 months - in state prison.
