With two music festivals on back-to-back weekends, September has some noteworthy events in store. Louisville has a slate of 43 events in September, according to information provided by Louisville Tourism. The wide array of both professional and cultural events are anticipated to draw more than 400,000 attendees and have a total estimated economic impact of $41 million.

Metro United Way launches new direct help platform
Metro United Way (MUW) has launched a new way to connect people in the Greater Louisville region to vital resources in a more efficient manner. The virtual United Community Care Coordination Center is open to any person in Louisville and Jefferson County. It’s a simple, online application made available through MUW’s United Community technology platform that was previously not available to the public. United Community launched in 2019 and has connected service providers in our community, allowing them to send and receive electronic referrals, address people’s social needs, and improve health, education and financial well-being.
Meet the 14 finalists up for Render Competition's $100K investments
Fourteen finalists from across the country are competing to be one of the eight startups selected as the winners of the 2022 Render Competition. The annual program hosted by Render Capital awards $100,000 to each of the eight winning companies. A total of five Louisville-area startups are among the finalists this year, and two other Kentucky companies have made the cut, too.
