Kentucky fintech company to be acquired in $1.6B deal
A Paducah, Kentucky-based publicly traded company will be taken private following the completion of a $1.6 billion acquisition. Computer Services Inc. (CSI), a provider of end-to-end fintech and regulatory technology solutions, entered into a definitive agreement this week to be acquired by private investment firms Centerbridge Partners L.P. and Bridgeport Partners in an all-cash transaction, according to a news release.

Meet the five winners of Render's $100K Reconstruct Challenge

'Matriarch' of Kentucky Derby Festival dies at 77
The Kentucky Derby Festival is morning the loss of a "matriarch," who recently celebrated her 50th anniversary with the organization. Bridget Sherrill, Kentucky Derby Festival's vice president of merchandising, died at 77 on Aug. 18, according to a news release. She was known for her significant role in the Festival’s Pegasus Pin Program, and was often referred to as “The Pin Lady.”
