Former Salem resident killed in New York State crash
A 48-year-old former Salem resident died Saturday morning in a single vehicle crash in the Town of Manlius, New York. David Engel grew up in Salem and was a Selmaville Grade and Salem Community High School graduate. He was a well-liked teacher at Fayetteville-Manlius High School in New York where he was a dedicated English and Theatre Teacher.

Indiana Among States with the Most Motorcycles in the U.S.
Indiana is now among the Top 15 states in the U.S. with the most registered motorcycles, contributing to the nearly 9 million bikes registered nationwide. Despite the fact that I come from a family of motorcycle riders, I never learned to ride, and I don't own a bike. However, it is something I often think about, so I may end up pulling the trigger sooner or later. Perhaps I'll save it for my midlife crisis down the road? Either way, I think motorcycles are cool, and apparently a lot of other Hoosiers do as well. Indiana is home to some of the most registered motorcycles in the nation, along with a few other fellow Midwestern states.
