“It's a blessing to get to wake up each day; along with that get to play the game you love! I want to thank God for all he has done and will continue to do in my life,” Hazzard posted. “Secondly I want to thank my family, friends, and coaching staff for their ongoing support and pushing me to be the best person I can be every day on and off the field! Special thank you to all the coaches that have recruited me and believe in me, especially the staff at Louisville! With that being said I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Louisville!! L's Up!”

Hazzard helped lead Page to a third straight Class 5A state championship game last season. He recorded 70 tackles, 16 sacks, 30 QB pressures and was a Tennessean first-team All-Midstate selection as well as the Region 6-5A defensive player of the year.

Hazzard has lined up as both an edge-rushing linebacker and defensive end. He is ranked as the Tennessean's No. 2 returning defensive lineman in the Nashville area.
